Born and brought up in the South East of England (but a West Country lad at heart, having lived there for 20 years), I was dragged screaming back to Hampshire for family reasons. This meant I spent lockdown in a bungalow with my Mum, escaping for the longest permissible bike rides and dog walks whenever possible. I’ve been a media journalist for 30 years, and edited the sci-fi magazine SFX for nearly 10 years. My fictional writing has not reached quite as wide an audience as I rewrite endlessly, meaning it takes about a year to produce one short story. Hence, my novel and film script have been “in development” for decades.
